A Simple Yes

THE following incident happened to me about a year ago. I think it gave me one of the most forceful and graphic object lessons of my entire drinking career. I had contacted AA just three months before being assigned to the arctic "bush country" of northern Manitoba, Canada. Upon my arrival there I found that I would have to go it alone as, to the best of my knowledge, there were no other non-drinking alcoholics in the area.
