How can we hold the active interest of our indispensable "elder statesmen"?
THE old timer is like the weather. Everybody talks about him but nobody does much about him--but not for lack of interest and concern. There's hardly a meeting or gathering of AA members concerned about their group and the future of AA as a whole which sooner or later does not arrive at the problem of the old timer and what to do about him.
