Our Everlasting Freshness

MORE years ago than I care to name, I first saw these words of Goethe. They intrigued me because they had a rather catchy sound, and seemed inconsistent and silly. Certainly they had no profound meaning that a young person would seek out. Now, many years later, with a lusty alcoholic career behind me, as well as many years of salvation in the blessed fellowship of AA sobriety, I sense the true meaning of these words. Hence this effort.
