From the Grass Roots

 FOR about a year, I have been listening to AA speakers who quote membership figures from old literature, and the original Post article, as though AA growth were slow as a glacier's. Actually, we're growing by leaps and bounds. The last time I was in the General Service Office, the gals were just revising the "AA Fact File," which tabulates the most recent AA census. Seems we are now topping the 300,000 mark in individual memberships, with more than 8,200 groups.[1]
