From the Grass Roots

WONDER if this would interest you for an article in the Grapevine? To us, it expresses again what AA can do. It is an excerpt from a letter we received from a friend, with the news that her mother has cancer and may live just a short while. Our friend has been a member of AA for thirteen months. She writes to explain to us why she may not be able to make it to our meetings. She will spend as much time as possible with her mother and since she lives twenty-five miles from where our group is and does not have a car but always depended upon someone to drive her, she wants us to know why she will not be coming.
