YESTERDAY I watched Syracuse University's number one football team smear UCLA's defense and clobber the bewildered California eleven on offense. During half-time I switched channels and saw the Baltimore Colts give the San Francisco Forty-niners a trimming (and laughed at the beer commercials). All this happens by simply flipping a couple of switches on the "idiot box"--a minor miracle of electronics.
