From the Grass Roots

TWELFTH STEP BY LETTER

FIRST, a letter from an AA member took me to AA nine years ago. Excepting one brief, helpful, dangerous slip almost seven years ago, I've been dry and I hope growing since. I was twenty-one when this letter arrived and took root in my mind (I could not erase it, even by drinking the next three weeks). Now I'm thirty and grateful to AA for letting me stay out of jail nine years, learn something about sane living, learn to work, to love people (myself too), to be useful, to pray, and to love God as I understand Him.
