AA Report From England and Wales

"FIRST Things First," so we thank you from our hearts for the freely offered and graciously given help these fourteen years. It was in 1947 that six, selected by some happy force, met in a London hotel to listen to Grace O. from New York. There then came eastward to this island a score or more of voyagers--each to speak with an encouraging voice. The timely visit of Bill and Lois in 1950 could not have been more welcome. We drew strength from their selflessness and have great reason to bless their farsightedness. These gifts with the steadfast understanding of the General Service Office could not have made brighter what Bill calls the sunshine of AA but they indeed spread it more quickly over a greater area.
