The crisis centered on the telephone. Which number would he call?

ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL invented the telephone while trying to build a hearing-aid for his wife, so the gimmick itself got started through love and you can't have a better beginning than that. I've often had occasion to think of that story about Bell when I was in a tight spot with my sobriety.
