About six years ago, a gal came to AA a veritable nervous wreck. She looked a lot older than her years, didn't trust or like anyone, and was sure that AA would not work. If there ever was a disbeliever and stubborn newcomer, she was it. However, she has stuck around and she looks younger each year. She is a grandmother and proud of it, although up until six years ago her grandchildren were a little afraid of her and seemed to steer clear when she came visiting.
