Closed Meeting
An AA seriously trying to live the program has a magic charm against nameless fears
THE man back of me at a closed meeting asked about fears. Not real fears, not healthy fears, if such there are; he meant the vague, unidentifiable, nebulous fears that seem to torment so many alcoholics--often even after a considerable time in AA. He wondered if others present had experienced them and what they had done about them. I knew at once exactly what he meant, so deeply had I been haunted by the same phantoms for years.
