I ATTENDED a little meeting recently in which the topic of alcoholic women in AA was brought for discussion. It occurred to me that women do sometimes have a tougher battle on their hands than some of their fellows of the male gender, mainly I guess, because women are supposed to uphold the dignity and virtue of their sex and not succumb to the temptations that befall the men.
