. . . Thought I should tell you of the activities of the Kerrisdale Men's Group, one of the groups in Vancouver. Early this summer one of their beloved members, Walter S., died, and because they wanted to honor his memory, they decided to purchase twenty-five copies of AA Today and place them in strategic locations throughout the Province, i.e. logging camps, and other spots where people might gather with free time and where there may be some with an alcoholic problem. In addition, they are canvassing the groups here for old copies of the Grapevine on the idea that each issue carries a timeless message as good years after as the day it was written. Five of these will be sent each month to each of these twenty-five points. Attached to the Grapevines and the book will be a list of B. C. meetings and the Vancouver Central Office address and telephone number. Stamped on them will be the words "In memory of Walter S."
