Baker's Dozen

MOST of us come into this Fellowship feeling that we were just a little bit different in our drinking than anyone else. Many of us feel that the situation we must face in our new-found sobriety is just a little different and perhaps more difficult than that which anybody else has faced. We feel so sorry for ourselves. Then we move slowly on to the point of saying that one of the beauties of this program is that it recognizes the dignity of the individual. Just why dignity should become so important so soon after we stop drinking, I have never known. Dignity reflects character and we certainly did a good job of dissolving that in alcohol.
