Faith Replaces Fear

Every danger can be accepted as a challenge

WHEN AA found me in the Los Angeles County Jail, some ten and a half years ago, I had reached the bottom of my personal hell. I wanted to stop eating, stop breathing, be out of the way for good. I felt that I was already dead inside. I had no hope of anything better from life, and I certainly didn't want any more of what I'd experienced. AA extended the first ray of hope for me. I have hung on with a death grip ever since.
