I have just been released from the Sonderwater Work Colony at Cullinan in the Transvaal where I was the AA group leader. You may wonder why we did not correspond with you. It is simply that we could not even afford the postage to the U. S. You see, our warden does not take as much interest in AA as they do over in the States, so please don't think the group is not grateful for all your kind assistance. Now that I am out on parole, as the group's outside sponsor, I will keep you posted on news of the group, to whom I will pay a visit once a month. If possible, I will send a small contribution for the group when I start work.
