Report from Paris:
WHEN I turn back to the French report in the 1960 Grapevine International Issue, I think that we have gone far on a short route. Nothing like a French AA group existed then; just a very few French alcoholics attended the bi-weekly meetings held by permanent residents and visiting American AAs. Of course only English was used. There were only three regular French participants and two of them could not speak English or understand a word of what was said. Anyway, they were at each meeting and became so well impregnated with the AA spirit that they became sober from their very first visit, and they still are.
