The greatest part of my AA life has been spent in the Los Angeles area, where AA is in abundance. My first experience at being alone for a period of time has occurred only since arriving in Colombia. It has been three months now since I have talked with another AA member. I once considered the trials of a loner as being of no consequence. Now I know differently. AA meetings and shooting the bull with my many AA friends had a quieting affect which I miss.
