Roundup Time in Europe

IT was back in 1952 that the idea of a Roundup of AA members in Europe was spawned. A hard core of sober alcoholics, their malady arrested by AA's miracle, spotted America's far-flung military installations across the entire face of Western Europe. It was felt that bringing them together in a European-wide conference would be a profitable and progressive step. An extremely active group in Wiesbaden, Germany hosted the affair, and the enthusiastic response convinced its sponsors that the Roundup should become an annual event. Wiesbaden has been the scene, and Labor Day week end the time of the annual Roundup ever since. (This idea originated from a member by the name of Emile. We have lost contact with her but wherever she may be we hope that she reads this article.)
