The one-hour daylight

I am about 400-odd miles from Fairbanks, but have to use the town as part of my address. Quite a few times I get requests for help from members or would-be members. Most of the time I can relay them on down to some of the North Star Group in Fairbanks where I have many friends. Sometimes I am unable to attend to a request with the dispatch it needs. I feel bad about this, but there is nothing that I can do about it. That is one penalty for being stuck on a job where there isn't even any "bush." All we see is a bit of Tundra for a couple of months in the summer, and ice and snow the rest of the year. We got a dilly of a breeze blowing snow all over the place right now. Even the fox are curled up and out of it. This time of year, we only have one hour of daylight, and soon, that will be gone. However, I'll get me a chance to see the sun pretty soon now for a couple of weeks.
