Father of the Bride

THE miracle that is AA casts its sunshine upon uncounted humans and homes, numbered far in excess of its host of recovered alcoholics. Perhaps the most cruelly hurt by the side effects of alcoholism is the child of the sick alcoholic. Fear-ridden, neglected and unloved, often neurotic, robbed of childhood's joys--this is the child of the drunken parent. Thus, to make amends to such as these becomes a lifework.
