How to avoid mistakes

There was a period in the earlier days of AA when selfishness, intolerance, and dissension threatened to destroy our Fellowship while it was in its infancy. The writer recalls committee meetings which were little more than brawls, for the simple reason that every one of us concurred in the opinion that there are two sides to every dispute--our side and the wrong side.
