Nervous?

FOR months I sat on the edge of my bed taking my pulse beat, waiting for it to blow up. Sitting in a barber chair was a major problem--barbers gave up trying to hold me still. Shaving myself or taking a bath was next to impossible. I was scared to sleep in the dark or even undress, not to mention the fear of locking the door. Going to a movie and mingling with crowds was out of the question and crossing a bridge--never! In fact, crossing a street was a desperate venture. And then liquor came to my rescue and I could swim the English Channel on my lunch hour. However, after two short years with this monster I was trapped and worse off than ever.
