E Unum Pluribus

We are all quite different from each other, representing greatly varying social, educational, professional, religious and other types. Alcohol, as is apparent, does not know or make such differentiations, but they will, however, play an important part in each one's individual concept and interpretation of AA's program of recovery. This is the reason for the remarkable fact that, while we are fundamentally concerned with one and the same problem and its solution, we have, with every speaker, a different approach. It could not be possible, therefore, that the beginner or the old-timer should not find in these meetings and discussions something again and again that constitutes new food for thought since it expresses ideas stemming from an individual different from himself.
