Thanks to Turkey

Suddenly I find myself situated back in Germany. It's been wonderful to get back to live AA (which I have been soaking up every chance I've had). This move up here from Turkey was one of those things which came out of the blue and believe me I appreciate it. I hope to keep up my correspondence with loners which I started down in that other country--and I hope to be active here, too. But it's good to be back in civilization! It was a wonderful tour--I saw much and made many friends in AA in other parts of the world. I believe my life is a more composed one and that I learned a great deal. It was a tremendously full sixteen months and I have reaped many benefits. I am trying to write an article on the subject of "God As I Understand Him" and this has been progressing nicely. If it turns out to be what I am striving for I will have Turkey, and its lessons in patience, solitude, understanding and acceptance (which are only a few I tried to learn and had to learn) to thank for it.
