I am very happy to say my first birthday has come and gone and none of the fears I was experiencing came to pass. For a couple of weeks before I was to celebrate the first year of sobriety I was dead scared I would get drunk to celebrate. I was living strictly twenty-four hours at a time and asking God for strength to keep trying to practice our principles thus giving us enough strength to avoid that disastrous first drink. But I am happy to relate I am back on the ball again and, as you say, "in the groove."
