The Anecdote Bin

AS though you didn't know it, all kinds of people get into trouble with alcohol. Here's a newspaper story about a Nashville minister who was fined $50 for brewing moonshine in the church coffee urn which he called "holy wine." He then climbed into a coffin, declaring he would stay there until he got word from on high that he should start hatching more hootch. There is no snapper to this tantalizing tale--we haven't heard whether or not he got the green light to go ahead. But if he did, he was bundled off to the sneezer again, because that's what the Boys in Blue said they'd do to him. Incidentally, the cops reported that services have not been held in the church for quite a spell, and that the building looked like anything but a religious edifice.
