John Donne, an English poet, once wrote that no man is an island, separate and independent from the rest of the world, but that all of us are part of the same large body of mankind. He went on to say that if something happens to any one of us, all of us are in some way affected. And if someone dies "Do not ask for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee."
