The Delights of My AA "Childhood

Neither baby charm nor childish rampages are as great as--

WHY, when Earnest Eddie at the podium innocently starts with: "The only thing wrong with us alcoholics is that we're childish. . ." is he always atomized with a salvo of protests? Do we resent it so much, or so hotly, because it is true? We welcome confessing gallons of immaturity in this or that, rather than concede a half-ounce of childishness.
