The Anecdote Bin

Dedicated to the lighter side of our common problem

HERE'S another Binful, thanks to you and you and a New York member who signs his letter "Smith" and adds, "How anonymous can you get?" Anyhow, Smith tells us that an alcoholic, three sheets to the wind, weaved into a bar and said, "Lemme have a Scotch and soda, and set 'em up for the boys, and have a drink yourself." The bartender did so and told the lush the tab was $7.80. "I don't have any dough," the drunk said, and the bartender heaved him out. The determined boozer came back immediately, asked for a Scotch and soda and setups for the boys. Said the bartender, "I suppose you want me to have one too." Snapped the drunk: "No! You get nasty when you drink."
