R. forwarded from Iowa an Associated Press clipping informing us that the father of Bourbon whiskey was a pioneer preacher in Georgetown, Kentucky, who turned out his first batch in 1789. At that time Georgetown was part of Bourbon County and--but you've guessed the rest.
