Carrying the Message

I had an experience recently that shows what continued sobriety really means to me. Was sick at home in bed with the flu, no telephone, all alone. So when I didn't show up on the job a friend came by to see me. When he saw how sick I really was, he went back and called my supervisor. They then came and took me to a doctor, then to the drugstore to get a prescription filled, back home to bed again.
