HERE in British Columbia, the once-proud Indians who are the natives of our land, shamefully pushed down and shoved aside for years by us white men, have--all too many of them--given in to despondency and despair. Poverty on the reservations, lack of proper educational opportunity, alcoholism, all these have contributed to degradation and tragedy.
