The Anecdote Bin

Dedicated to the lighter side of our common problem

IT'S pleasant to think of picnics in February because it gives us an excuse to pass along a summertime story anonymously clipped from an AA publication. It has to do with a guy and gal on a picnic in the country during the course of which the young man got took down drunk. While his girl was walking him around in a field to sober him up a little, a bull charged them. The young man grabbed the bull by the horns, as the saying goes, and twisted them until the animal, bellowing in pain, took off. "What bravery!" cried the girl. Said the drunk: "Oh, I don't know. If I hadn't been slowed down by those last few drinks, I'd have taken that guy right off his bicycle."
