How AA Came to Him

I FOUND AA in a most unusual way. I had been on one of my escapades--from the first of March until the first of August in 1957--when I decided to end it all because I knew my whole world had collapsed around me. I had lost everything I thought to be important at the time so, in my alcoholic thinking, the only thing to do was to jump out the window on the seventeenth floor of my hotel.
