WHICH reminds us that on New Year's Eve a lot of well meaning but uninformed desk sergeants at sundry police stations are going to pour free coffee into a lot of tipsy drivers in an effort to sober them up. Hey, Sarge--the fact is that coffee merely turns a sleepy drunk into a wide-awake drunk. He's still drunk. P.S. This isn't our opinion; it's a medical finding.
