IN telling his story, a young AA we know says it used to seem to him that everybody in the world called himself a professional something-or-other, so he decided to become a professional drinker. Then he joined AA, went to a meeting and found the room full of professional drinkers. "That ended my career," he says. "All those pros were sober."
