Booze Was a 24-hour Chore

LOOKING back on it now, it seems to me that the last few years of my drinking constituted the hardest work I ever did in my life. Everyday, from morning to night, it was a full time job to get liquor, create the opportunities to drink it and to escape or excuse the consequences that resulted.
