For those in prospecting, newspapering, seafaring, selling shoes, or any other line

WHEN I first came to AA, I honestly believed that my occupation, with its "unique" pressures, problems and personality involvements, was the main reason I drank too much, too often. Hundreds of times, in that remorse-filled twilight zone between alcoholic euphoria and a temporary return to a precarious state of sobriety, I told myself: "It's my job. It's a rat race. I'll quit!"
