"Emerging from the loneliness of alcoholism at High Watch Farm in Kent, Connecticut, I had no idea at all of the scope of the AA fellowship. I found strength in sharing the experience of the AA staff and the other 'guests,' but I was afraid of what would happen when I left the protection of High Watch and returned to the outside.
