It's Great to Be New

A quick refresher on the wonders of finding yourself sober

I HAVE to pinch myself to believe I've been reborn in the program and that it isn't a dream. The world has changed--all the people, thoughts and things. The sun is brighter, flowers smell better, the breeze is cleaner. I can remember where I was yesterday and last night and what I did. I don't have to sneak into the garage to see if my car is there or walk around the house clearing out wrecked furniture, or be afraid to go outside for fear I will meet a neighbor who will grin knowingly or turn away from me in disgust.
