My Name Is Alice

HOW often in the past have I laughed and cried alternately at what I considered to be the poor unfortunates who lived in a world without liquor. "Oh," I would say to myself, "theirs must be a dull and a sad world." Now, after living almost five years without alcohol, I find that this was only one of many distorted viewpoints of mine. Today, with the help of AA and God as I understand Him, this world is often exciting and rarely dull.
