TWO readers have sent us the Dan Bennett definition of a cocktail party clipped from the American Legion magazine. It's "Where alcohol removes the veneer from the furniture and the guests." And Ken R., Winnetka, Illinois, provides a clip from the Chicago Sun-Times: "Since she left him, he has thrown himself on the mercy of the quart!"
