I Had to Accept Prison

But I found a freedom in the gift of living

SOME months ago, I attended my first AA meeting; the conditions weren't exactly pleasant for I happen to be in a state prison. I was completely defeated. Trying AA was my last hope; somehow I had to find out if they could help me for I knew and had at last admitted to myself that I couldn't stay sober alone. I don't remember very much about the meeting except a sign with the Serenity Prayer on it and a few remarks which the chairman made.
