Carrying the Message

Lambertville is situated on the Delaware, with New Hope, Pa. across the river. Two friends of mine operate five boats that take passengers across the river and cruises up and down the river. I was sitting on the river bank one afternoon with a friend of mine and suddenly the thought came to my mind how wonderful it would be to hire one of the boats and have an AA meeting some evening on the river. The following Tuesday night at our meeting I mentioned it to the group, and they thought it would be wonderful. We engaged the boat for two hours. I proceeded to get everything ready: the soda, ice, cheese, crackers and cookies. The passengers consisted of members of the Princeton Group, the Trenton Group, and the Lambertville Group--thirty-two in all.
