The Reluctant Jackass

Life eased up for this one when he dropped his burden and picked up the message

MAN in many respects is a beast of burden. He's designed to carry responsibilities like earning a living, getting married, having a lawn, taxes, a car, kids--and taxes. This is the story of one man (me) for whom these burdens were like the boxes they load on a jackass: heavy, with sharp corners that become steadily more uncomfortable the longer they are carried.
