On Naming a Group After a Deceased Member

Our primary purpose is to stay sober and to help the alcoholic who still suffers. A group name like Eastside, Midtown, or Suburban is likely to be more helpful to someone seeking aid than a name 'in memoriam' of somebody. Another member and I started a group some while ago; he attends it now only when it is convenient, but the group has grown anyhow. If they were to name it after me post mortem, I would feel that they were forcing me to go upstage on God. It is my firm conviction that there is no future in this line of endeavor.
