Carrying the Message

Down here in Orlando we call the open meetings the showcase of AA and the closed meetings the workshop of AA. I definitely favor closed meetings because many things can be brought up that would seem uninteresting at an open meeting. Of course I attend them both; but honestly I do seem to get more 'meat' out of a discussion-type meeting, sharing twenty-five or thirty persons' point of view.
