Carrying the Message

The June issue of the Grapevine contains many anecdotes about the problem of bottle disposal. My favorite concerns a woman member of my group who was similarly affected before her entrance into AA. On one occasion she started for the city to attend a sale in a department store, a large bag of empties in her hand for disposal along the way. She arrived at the store, laid her large bundle beside one counter and sauntered to another turning just in time to see a woman, displaying a triumphant smile, walk away with her bag of trouble.
