The Saga of William

I WAS born in Oslo, Norway, in the year 1900, of deeply religious parents. Our home was a meeting place for missionaries and lay preachers of the Pentecost sect. We were seven children and because we were poor we had to go to work at an early age to help in supporting the family. My father was a baker; at an early age I became a helper on one of the horse-drawn delivery wagons. (Sleds in winter.)
